24 x 7 Monitoring

24 x 7 Monitoring
We collect and collate information on critical factors of your server, including:
- Broadband status changes
- Hacking attempts
- Disk failures & Disk space issues
- RAM and other hardware errors
- Back up errors – e.g. tape not loaded
This enables us to identify when a problem is likely to occur and fix this either remotely or by an onsite visit which helps reduce disruption to your business activities.
The service also enables us to collect other useful data including: auditing information, workstation hardware details and software licensing details.

Helpdesk
Our helpdesk service offers:
- Normal business hours coverage (8am to 6.30pm) with out of hours service available
- At least 5 engineers are available at any one time
- Remote access capability that typically solves 90% of problems reported
- Escalation to 2nd and 3rd line help for more specialist problems
- Ownership of problem even if the issue is with a 3rd party e.g. BT for Broadband issues
- Customer portal to enable online tracking of reported problems
- Notification by e-mail of progress

Backups

Backups
These include:
- Shadow copy – twice every day (at 7am and 12am) a snapshot of designated data is made to another part of your network. This enables a much quicker recovery from data loss as at any one time the amount of data lost is reduced.
- Tape backup – the most widely-used method of backing up. Tape backup enables large quantities of data to be copied onto removable media that can be stored at a separate location for additional security. We monitor the backup for failure and notify you immediately so that you can take the necessary action.
- Remote backup – designated data is securely backed up via your Broadband line and the Internet to a Pro Networks server located at either at our main offices or our data centre in Chester. This method removes the need to check that tape backups are occurring.
